Your comment is irrelevant. Its part of history, because Neil is Catholic. Therefor NASA respectfully attended and honored the fallen hero's traditions. He was was buried in the ocean because he served in the Navy (tradition). Politics and religion don't mix, I agree^_^ but I think off God as the universe and being a Catholic wouldn't stop me for reaching the moon(science). Thanks Neil Rest with God/Universe

To ABitOfTheUniverse and every other member of the S.A.I.E. religion: Far more good than bad has been contributed to human culture by people of faith. It is true that atrocities have been commited by bad people in the name of one religion or another. I suspect that those people would have found another reason to commit their atrocities absent religion. To believe otherwise is naive.
