I give an overview of the pens and inks that I plan to use during May 2024. I give my first impressions of each pen and ink pairing on Cosmo Air Light, Iroful, Midori, Tomoe River, and Yamamoto Bank papers.

Oo! I love my champagne realo but haven’t seen many around so I’m excited to see what you think. I have a fine nib, but rights closer to the sailor MF.

gasp! you're the first person i've come across who likes cinnabun too! thats such a shame about it feathering though, i've used it in a kaweco extra fine and a sailor profit jr/compass medium fine and they worked perfectly on sanzen tr if that helps any <3
i love the way you show inks across different papers and your thoughts about all the differences ^^
i wonder if that tomoe river paper youre using is that in between batch? because i made super super heavy swatches of cinnabun on old tomoe river (like took half an hour to dry heavy) and it didnt feather at all! (of course, sanzen couldnt handle thay kind of swatching)

To me all of the scented inks have an essential oil that causes feathering. So I just don’t mess with them anymore sadly! And I had to use special cleaner to get the essential oil out of the converter and the feed!

This spectrum brings me joy! And now I'm curious about the octopus Medusa ink 😂
Btw, French is my mother language and your accent on 'terre de feu' is a 10/10 👌

Sorry for double commenting, but I have found the coated black sailor nibs are much smoother without the “signature” feedback

Seems like the new Hongdian pen could work with the Cinnabun ink. Those scented inks, so troublesome. But Cinnabun is the only one so far where the scent isn't offensive to me lol. The Unicorn Galaxy pen, oh my word. Stunning!
