In this futuristic racer, the key to winning is speed! F-Zero X will become available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on March 11!

Choose from 30 different hover-car racers, including updated versions of the Blue Falcon and other vehicles from the original F-Zero™ game, and get ready to hit the acceleration! Race to the finish line on tracks that twist and turn through the air. However, you will have to avoid the other 29 cars on the track or else face the consequences! If you're in a competitive mood, try to win a Grand Prix Cup, get the fastest lap time in a Time Trial, or destroy the competition in a Death Race. You can also challenge three friends in the Versus mode. With five separate play modes, hidden vehicles and courses, and an excellent soundtrack, F-Zero X is a worthy racing title to return to!

I’ve tried to picture what a new game would look like. You could really even lean into the whole ‘comic’ feel and tell the campaign story in comic strips. However it’s done, it would be awesome

One of the only games of the era to run at a silky smooth 60fps. Amazing game. Would be nice if they rereleased the N64 DD content as well, since most people have never played that.

One of the best racing series ever created....and Nintendo just sits on their thumbs. At least folks can play this absolute beast of a racing game. What would be even cooler if they sweetened the deal and added the 64DD expansion for folks to try out. It adds way more to this game.

Not only am I excited to hear Drivin' Through on Max used for the trailer music, but this is gonna be the first official online F-Zero experience, and THAT is a great privilege we'll finally have. I'd rather a remastered GX with online, but this is great too.

Yay I can't wait! That was the only game from the initial Expansion Pack trailer that I really wanted to play again (due to a continued lack of a new F-Zero, that is).

It's been literally nearly 20 years since GX. If there's any series overdue for a big comeback, it's this one. The revivial and remakes of Metroid, Kirby & Advance Wars certainly has me hopeful. I'd love the chance to race online and have that wonderfully ridiculous zany story mode again.

This game still holds up, IMO. crisp, clean graphics, great music, great controls and smooth frame rate. What more do you need in a racer?

I still play F-Zero X on my N64 to this day. It's one of the best Nintendo racing games of all time and its soundtrack is amazing. "Crazy Call At Cry" (Port Town) and "Decide In The Eyes" (Big Blue) are my favorite songs.
