Strange review. This is not a Model Y competitor as it's a class or 2 smaller. Also the cable will fit in the frunk as I have one and have fitted it!

Great car but it's not a Model Y.

Also most driver assist apps can be turned off easily and are not buried in menu's.

In the most recent update, you can easily turn off the driver distractions, lane departure, and speed limit warnings with just a tap from the quick settings menu :) the drivers alert is also way less obtrusive

You just have you wind up the charge cables into a circle for them to fit in the frunk nicely, we’ve been doing it since we got the car :)

We love ours. Test driven the Tesla and the Volvo multiple times. The EX30 was quicker, felt easier to use, had 100X better buying experience, and feels far more special inside and not sterile.

The charge cables do fit in the froot / how hard did you try?

I test drove one in February (Switzerland) and was quoted a delivery date in September. Decision made to get a Model Y which was delivered 2 weeks later.

Did you have it in performance mode? It’s even quicker again.

Any car without buttons or dials is dead to me.

You did not put much effort into trying to squeeze the charging cable into the front storage area.

Mount a HUD infront of the driver alert and get two good thing in one move.

If Android Auto was possible AAOS would be unnecessary.

The comparison to a MYP, here in Sweden the MYP is about 10k€.

Sure you get some space, kWh for that price.
But no sensors, manuell towbar, no 360 cam, automatic parking and lane change is 4000€ for ex.

If those warning pings keep going off it is not a fault with the car, they are telling you that you are doing something wrong.

The back edge of the rear door cutting into the wheel arch is not to improve looks, it is a cheaper way to build the car body, problem doing it this way allows dirt etc flying off the rear wheel getting into the door opening seam.

I own and in love with my car EX30 Ultra since April this year.. As this guy says in this video I never had any issue with buttonless key.. Back boot opens in just a single press, unlike this guy's over-exaggeration.

The door material reminds me of a 70s toilet

New??? The EX30 is introduced in juni 2023.
BTW, Volvo is smart enough to focus on 75% of the smartphone market which isn't an Apple device.
The car as shown is €55k. Not exactly a bargain.

Trunk didn't open because you were standing too close to it.

The interior door cards look like cookware. It’s definitely not comparable to the model y, they would apply to people with different needs.

It’s like comparing a Mazda cx30 to a cx5.

Its absolutely nothing like a Tesla whether you cover up a badge or not.

The Model Y is a much bigger more efficient, full size family car with a bigger boot! Perceived quality and materials in the Tesla are much better too. Finally the pcp and lease deals are much more competitive hence you see so many model Y’s on the road!

Matt Watson at Carwow also said it’s a Y killer.
Explains the angry Y owners comments now several reviewers have said the same.
