It's been a month and a half, but there seems to be no end to the violence in Manipur. Though Manipur has seen incessant strife since May 3, news seems to be just about trickling out. Now, a former Lieutenant General has tweeted the dire state of affairs, equating the situation in his state with that of war-ravaged Libya, Lebanon and Syria.

For over 70 years in the Name of AFSPA, the arms forces and the military forces in the Northeast have been harassing innocent civilians for no specific reason but when needed the most they were and are nowhere to be found, that's strange.

And the silence of the PM clearly shows that the Northeast has been discriminated over the last decade. The recent incident and the crisis that has happened/ happening in the Northeast are not the concerns for the centre, that's strange.

I am a victim from Sugnu Manipur. The meiteis militants, State Police Commandos & IRB were shooting at us. We rush for our lives and from mountains we saw the Meiteis mobs coming with Tata DI, 407, Tata Truck and were looting for the whole day. By evening they started burning all the Kuki-Zo areas in Sugnu. 3days back, i heard from a Meitei friend that the radical group had brought around 7JCB destroying all the buildings that couldn't be burnt.

So, there is presence of foreign illegal armed immigrants from Myanmar & Bangladesh. Chittagong hill tracts was once 98% inhabited by Buddhists. But now totally captured Kuki Chin people from Myanmar. Meiteis & Kukis lived peacefully in Churachandpur before. Foreign immigrants have no love for local people. So, we need to identify these people & deport them to their country of origin. Then only current problem can be solve. We have no enmity with original Kuki people of Manipur.
