GPUs are finally becoming more affordable as market pressure is forcing Nvidia and AMD to drop prices on their new RTX 40 and RX 7000 GPUs or offer bundled games and other bonuses to incentivize sales. Specifically AMD RX 7000 graphics cards are dropping in price very quickly. Now you can buy an RX 7900 XT at just $750 which is around 17% off its original MSRP.

The cost is still a little too high for me. But the biggest issue is the large power draw for these cards

Rtx 4080 should cost around 700
Rtx 4090 should cost around 900
Rtx 4070 ti should cost around 400-500

Way too expensive. nVidia have priced all their current gen cards 1 teir higher compared to last gen. And last gen cards where being sold in crazy times. AMD just p*ssed away their good rep by lazily following rather then having a backbone and going for it with realistic pricing. So that means nVida and AMD are forcing the market to pay more while developing silicon that costs less. If you haven't figured it out yet, then no one can help you.

Nvidia need to drop there prices by at least 50% before they should even be considered and AMD can drop there prices by 30% Intel is not really in the game yet.

AMD has better price to performance but everyone is scared of owning one. The need for NVIDIA is to strong and the prices to high. I have used a 6950xt for about two months now. I don't understand why this card isn't being mentioned for its value. Nvidia may have excellent RT cores but honestly, you probably won't notice much of a difference if you go team red.

I will say that the price drop makes them far more in line with what I'm looking for. I still won't be buying until at least March next year, but I will cheer on any price drops that happen in the meantime.

Fun fact #1: Barely three generations ago, the money for today's flagship GPU could get you two flagships and still have enough to spare for good peripherals.
Fun fact #2: Where I live, the cheapest 4090 is almost $1900 and the most expensive one....hold on.... $3160. Strangely, that's an MSI Suprim Liquid X. How it got there from the US price of $1, 750 is still a mystery.

New GPU prices have to drop. They can't compete with rdna2. Rdna2 gonna go down as one of the best generations of cards since the 10 series. Really helps that current games are built around rdna2.

Face it, Jensen! The crypto-bubble is over and will not be coming back anytime soon. Lower your prices to what they used to be pre-2016. No one is going to buy your carp gpus at those insane prices!
