A few weeks ago I was copying youtube transcripts by hand into txt files, copying them into a chatgpt conversaion, going into obsidian to grab my summarization prompt, the copying the response back into obsidian.

Today, i run a bash script, give the YT identifier, a title, and a pattern to run, and i get the transcript and pattern response right in obsidian ready to review.

Tomorrow, I'm going to figure out how to extract the wisdom from all 400+ Unsupervised Learning episodes just by giving a script you handle.

Wish me luck and thanks for everything!

Hi Daniel! You haven't hit a right note, you actually have hit two right notes there. Congratulations on the framework idea which I will start experimenting with and exploring deeper inside but I commend you for the key message that AI is here to augment human capabilities. Sadly, society is not prepared for it and it will take years before the educational system can be adapted to cope with this. But people like you will help push that change in mentality. Please keep up with the good work.

ONE SENTENCE SUMMARY:
Daniel Misler introduces "Fabric, " an open-source AI project aimed at augmenting human capabilities by solving everyday challenges with AI.

MAIN POINTS:

2. The project emphasizes a human-first approach, considering what people want to achieve with AI technology.
3. Fabric operates through a structure of patterns, stitches, and looms, each serving different functions in the AI framework.
4. Patterns are AI prompts targeting specific problems, stitches link multiple patterns, and looms are client-side applications.
5. The project is open-source, encouraging community contributions to improve and expand its capabilities.
6. Fabric's patterns include analyzing claims, incidents, academic papers, and enhancing writing quality among others.
7. Misler demonstrates Fabric's utility with examples like summarizing long videos and enhancing essay writing.
8. The project supports chaining patterns together to streamline complex tasks, such as generating tweets from essays.
9. Installation involves downloading the repository, installing dependencies, and setting up an OpenAI key.
10. Misler advocates for using AI as an augmentation to human activities, not a replacement, enhancing life's quality.

TAKEAWAYS:
1. Fabric offers a structured, open-source framework for applying AI to solve real-world problems and enhance personal development.

Daniel, I'm absolutely captivated by this project and even more by the way your mind works! I'm so eager to collaborate with you in any way possible. Recently, I've become so engrossed in AI that it's taken a toll on my other business commitments, leading to some significant missteps. Yet, my passion for AI has only grown; I've devoured every video by Network Chuck, improved my Python skills, and honed my prompting abilities, especially thanks to your insights. I'd be thrilled to connect and possibly work alongside you. As Robert Kiyosaki says—though I'm paraphrasing—work to learn, and you won’t have to work just to earn for long. Your work is truly inspiring!

Thanks for sharing. What's the 'pt' alias that you are running to get the transcript of the videos? I saw in the repo under the helpers yt ans ts. I wonder if pt is the same as calling yt.

Thanks for sharing this framework Daniel - I got it running, using just Ollama right now, but I love the idea, implementation, and your philosophy. I'm a SW QA guy, a job NO ONE does anymore (including me), but I find the framework helpful and useful. Again, thanks for all your work and thanks to the collaborators as well - job well done!

Thanks for making these capabilities accessible to people with limited hands on keyboard experience like myself. If I can do it, others from business and diverse backgrounds can too!
