What are Bi-weekly Mortgage Payments?

Biweekly mortgage payments are a GREAT way to pay down your mortgage YEARS ahead of time.

The math is pretty simple. If you pay monthly, you're making 12 full payments towards your mortgage. If you are paying every other week, over the course of the year you are going to find yourself making 13 full payments. But, since you are spreading it out over the course of the whole year you're never having to make one big 'extra' payment.

Pretty great for those who like to keep a tight budget. Have any questions? I'd be happy to answer them in the comments below⬇️

This was explained very well! I’ve heard that by doing bi-weekly payments, it can cut years off your loan but I didn’t understand how. Thank you! Very helpful!
