Swedish person here, these speed bumps are awful on roads where large vehicles such as trucks and vans tend to drive. The speed bump causes a large amount of vibrations, which can be felt rumbling neighbouring houses

A speed bump isn't designed to destroy any cars that go over them too fast; they exist to alert drivers to a speed change or hazard, like a school, narrow road, blind curve, or crosswalk.

Here in the Netherlands we at some point thought lets build bumbs without marking. Guess thats how cars park in bedrooms.

In the early 2000s, we also invented “the hole” in bus lanes. Since buses have a wider track than cars, they simply dug a hole in the lane, forcing cars that were illegally driving in the bus lane to crash into it. I remember one on my way to school, and it was always fun to see what it caught after each weekend. (These were shortly removed, though, as they proved to be deadly. Plus, the cars that got stuck in the hole were often totaled, which also blocked oncoming buses.)
