I'm white and I live in a small rural Midwest town. I had "The Talk" with my son and his friends because I know that it doesn't matter what color you are. If you are being stopped and questioned be the police, you need to be very careful of your actions and what you say. If you don't, it could turn out badly. It doesn't matter if you haven't done anything wrong, the police are the ones with the guns.
Hell, I was profiled because I drove a sports car.

I was pulled over for speeding one time as a 40 year old white mom of 4. They took FOREVER. I was like what are they doing back there. People always read things into a situation. But I've always been respectful and apologetic. At the end of the day, the police leaves his house knowing he could be shot at. Every. Single. Day.
