Virus.DOS.Techno (Thanks for 40,000 Subscribers!)

it's about time I give this iconic virus a video where I explain what the hell it's actually doing.

I really want someone to remix that track into something modern. I think that would be really cool, and seeing as the tune is pretty minimal as it is, I think there is a lot of potential to experiment with it.

This does seem to be a time based payload (at least for this version) despite the information on it saying it's counter based. Experimenting with times, I have a batch script that seems to activate this virus first go 100% of the time (though this is on a VM, not real hardware!). Country was set to UK, so it's 24 hour time format as opposed to 12 hour:

Date doesn't seem to be a factor with this either. Admittedly the loop is redundant as it runs first time for me.

I suspect the virus author is a musician. There are musical notes there. Trust me. It's rather atonal, but beautiful at the same time. I know, who calls a chip tune beautiful ... but ... watch me try playing this on the piano. Haven't tried yet, but don't worry, I will.

I had a lot of problems running techno for some reason. I don't know if it's the sample I have or what, but I had to run it with a looping batch file for almost 10 minutes before it would activate.
