For "proper" chairs, I would recommend advertising any of the Herman Miller or Steelcase chairs. They're pretty expensive chairs, (around or at least $1000), but $1k now is better than a lifetime of back problems

Good review. Lots of information. (Monitor height. Yours seem to be at eye level, David Zhang's are just a bit lower. What are your thoughts and experience?)

About the same amount of wobble as David Zhang's desk but your movement is parallel his is in an arc. Four legs are better than two (Snowball was right). But no cross bracing and you'll never be fully stable. That's okay, I think you're point is a good one. The real issue is the front of your desk won't sag from your weight, a two legged desk will. If you lean on the front of your desk your pencil isn't going to roll off onto the floor, David's will.

What I hope to try is running line from the ends of the feet to the corners of the desk, then use boat cleats (I got some and know how to use 'em) to tie the line to. Unless the obstacle-auto-reverse feature kicks in, I should be able to just leave the lines as tight in the high position, slack in the lower position. ) give me a couple of weeks...I'll let you know. A permanent standing desk, my desk as a teacher for 7 years was a lab counter, so yeah I like a standing desk, but up and down is better. A riser? I've made a couple of these. They're a hassle, and what you say about them is spot on. Thanks

I didn’t know about the rotation with 2 legs. I wanted to save money because the 4 legged table is $450 more than the 2 legged. Are you able to explain how much worse it is? I’m sure it’s worth it but it is quite a bit more expensive.

The wobble could also have to do with the way that it is put together or the floor leveling as well
