If you google every single one of these actresses and their original dresses they hardly resemble the ones shown in this video. Wrong colour, different length, sleeve lengths, dress silhouette - all of them don't look like the originals at all.

I think by only showing the oscar winners outfits, they missed out on the real trends of those eras. Often the best actress winner is not the best dressed on the red carpet in a given year.

Every outfit that I am old enough to recognize doesn't look like the original. I get that it's not that easy to find completely accurate designs but I wish they had shown the photos of the real actresses in what they wore and talked more about the popular oscar styles of those times, instead of saying what year the red carpet was introduced etc.
