Inter-die latency is crucial for this platform to compete against AMD, be sure to measure it. It appears to have a layout similar to the AMD Zeppelin, with memory controllers on each die. AMD abandoned it because of extreme NUMA effects, I wonder if Intel was able to make it work. Have fun!

really happy to see Leo getting these, would be interested to see your real world coverage - are you reviewing them or is this just an unboxing showcase?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions on these and threadripper

It's worth noting by having two of the same series chips he won't be able to compare the latencies and differences between the 2400 series.
24 core 2400 and 24 core 3400 would be very interesting to me so we could see what we gain or lose between the two different style of chips.

Bring! It! On! I'm going to be very interested in your findings, Leo. I talk to people who could make good use of this stuff. But what would really interest me - and, I suspect many of your viewers - would be a comparison at the low end. Compare a 12 or 16 core Ryzen with a 12 or 16-core W2400 with a 12 or 16 core Threadripper Pro. Thus you will educate us as to when to take the step up.

Please do some gaming benchmarks with this! Only games that scale with cores, like Battlefield 2042 and the like.

right! Slap it together and let's see how well it runs Solitaire.

Actually seeing those processors is quite exciting.

I like Asrock boards, their bios devs are really helpful too, they game me some unreleased BIOS with a mod in it that I needed once.

testing these will be quite a challenge as you will need different configurations than the usual

the architecture is impressive, but I wonder how AMD's top line processors will square up against them.

Will wait for the continuation of this story )) This board only supports 4 memory channels, do you have any plans to get board from Asus to test with 8 memory channels?
