The Rectangular Patch Antenna — Lesson 5

This video lesson introduces rectangular patch antennas, which consist of a rectangular conductive element resting on a dielectric slab with conductive backing. Rectangular patch antennas are narrowband and linearly polarized. They radiate broadside to the plane of the patch. This course was created for Ansys Innovation Courses by Dr. Kathryn Leigh Smith, assistant professor, UNC-Charlotte, in partnership with Ansys.
