Please attend concerts of your local symphony orchestra. There's likely one near where you live, especially if it's in Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, East Asia, Israel. The orchestras would love to have you in their audience and you don't have to dress up. Just don't applaud between movements, only at the end of the work.

Then I heard a new sound: a living sound, like the richest, most complex, most beautiful piece of music you've ever heard. Growing in volume as a pure white light descended, it obliterated the monotonous mechanical pounding that, seemingly for eons, had been my only company up until then. The light got closer and closer, spinning around and around and generating those filaments of pure white light that I now saw were tinged, here and there, with hints of gold.

Tchaikovsky is so recognizable with the way he uses horns, woodwinds, and combines them with strings to produce just exquisite pieces of music. I know him best from the nutcracker as I was raised watching the annual performances when the local ballet and symphony joined forces to create an amazing show. However I would be able to recognize his use of instruments anywhere.

If you asked me in my twenties, who was my favorite composer, I would have said, Tchaikovsky. In my thirties Bach, in my forties Beethoven but I am 92 now and I truly appreciate them all and I have so many favorite pieces, I can’t remember them all and I thank God That I, m still here to enjoy them.

I really don't get why most teens don't like classical music. These are masterpices of art to the ears. I for one am a teen who always apriciated classical music. I don't know how it is in other country's but here in the Netherlands, classical music is luckely gaining populairaty omongst teens again.

I don't know if children from Europe and America could be taught about classic art, but children from my country, Vietnam, never ever been taught about that. That beautiful, brilliant, and erudite (sorry if I can't choose the right words to say, my bad English). I really want to learn about classic art, and enjoy it when I can understand it like a pro. But all I can learn is from books. Thank you for sharing these beautiful melodies to me and all people. Sometimes I heard it, but can't realize it.

A heartwarming selection of those famous parts of great symphonies. Thank you for taking the time to select these melodies for all of us to enjoy and to induce one to listen to the complete performances by the world's leading orchestras and conductors.

I actually played Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony (Pathetique) about half a year ago. No doubt it was one of the greatest pieces I've ever played, and at the time it was one of the most challenging orchestral works I've played as well. The story behind the piece is fascinating and I absolutely loved the piece, especially the first and second movements. I'll be playing Dvorak's New World Symphony (aka Symphony No. 9) soon as well and I'm really excited to be performing it within a few months (I especially love the first movement)!

I'm glad Beethoven's 7th symphony second movement made it on the list, one of my favorite classical works.

I love those! But I was also waiting for Rachmaninoff's Symphony no. 2 Adagio. It's absolutely beautiful.

I thank my father every day for encouraging my love in classical music, as much as his. I listen to it every day and never tire of it.

I really enjoyed the contrast in the conductor's styles. This was really fun to watch in addition to hearing the beautiful music.

Thank you so much for including the visuals of the orchestras, as they are a big part of the experience. Really grateful for that.
