Cyanogen Inc. VS Cyanogenmod!

After some deep thought, this is what I came up with... The Cyanogenmod we all know and love spawned the monster that is Cyanogen Inc.

Thanks for your efforts with that video.
I really don't mean to be rude by saying that but you really seem to be confused about that topic when you speak and REALLY should educate a bit more yourself about the difference beetween "Android" and "Google Android", the later is Android filled with closed sources Google apps (Google Play Services + Play Store + Maps + Gmail + ...).
Ppl that are for years and decades in the field of open source sofwares struggle with all their soul to make lambda guys and new CHIC tech saavy generations to know what is in their benefit and what is not.
Google didn"t invent Android, it bought it and open sourced it in 2007 to counter Apple and their iPhone (this was the last resort move to SURVIVE in an era where internet began to rhyme with mobility).
Since then "Google Android" (Android + Closed Softs and services made by Google) grew up and the more we are going the more Google is trying to replace some parts of Android by their closed source solutions to LOCK the whole system and prevent ppl from moving away. The major contendent for Google and its ecosystem is not iOS but Android itself.
What Cyanogenmod is trying to bring is a fully open source OS based on AOSP Android (w/o Google stuff) that can be easily patched to support all sorts of other services :
Google Services (of course)
Microsoft
Micromax
Samsung
Somekind of open source self hosted plateform (yours maybe, mine)...
...
That way we will have the freedom to say NO to Google at anytime and choose another provider.
I was keen on protecting Google in the past years coz I think they gave to the Open Source Community a Boost (no as much as you might think... see The Linux Kernel contribution to understand it). I really think that top ranked sincere developpers should take a step in and help those initiatives to make ppl free to choose the PLATEFORM they want instead of beeing tied to a company which credo is no more "don't be evil" (see Eric Schmidt sayings).
When I buy a device I really mean to be in possession of all of it (hardware + software + my data)...
With all due respect Jordan brother, you really should read more about the topic and maybe making another video to all your followers.

CyanogenMod is the most trusted custom rom. It being an official company it has provided the greatest rom development. However the greatest custom rom I have ever ran was Liquidsmooth 5.0 unfortunately the developers have abandoned the project.

Cyanogen is the only that has the exposure and experience to make a difference. Things have changed from the past, maximum custom roms are direct derivatives of cyanogenmod now as it provides a already built up platform.
Developers there are not wrong if they want to achieve for their talent.
They are capable enough to challange google's monopoly, sensible enough to understand that samsung is near to an end, and believe me when i say, samsung is the next nokia, but yes foolish enough to make exclusive business terms. This shows that they are noob with business but a pro at developing for sure. They are challenging google because they are capable of it.
And yes updates do delay, but the updates given are truely worth waiting, and if u dont want to wait well then cyanogenmod is there for you with nightlies, i mean whats better than this.

I disliked the video and i am not a cyanogen employee
