He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get along in the entanglements that follow. Saw this a few days ago, thought it was Woddy Allens funniest movie in years. Never did I think the line "I wonder who'd caught that catfish" have me crying with laughter :)

This film was amazing. The naratives when Boris breaks the 4th wall are so inspiring, and down right true. As much as Boris IS an unlikeable guy (as he says in the start), I can relate to him. The New Years Eve speach to the audience in the final scene of the film is awesome.

that's exactly why he choosed not to play the part I mean, the man is a genius! Letting another (amazing) actor playing the typical Woody Allen character, made everything so fresh!
Beautiful film, goes straight to my favourite Allen' movies!!!

I really was expecting nothing. And came out viewing one of my favorite Woody Allen pictures of all time. I have seen all of them. I felt after 1998 he lost it. On my first watching, I felt "Match Point" was a glimmer of hope, later viewing I found it too faulted. "Vicky Christina Barcelona" was a nice surprise, but here he knocks out another home run just when you think he is going out to pasture. I agree with a post below. Woody ROCKS!!!

eh, I really want this to be good, it's got larry david and is written and directed by Woody Allen, it should be really good comedy, yet it just doesn't seem like that from the trailer.

I don´t think it´s the best Allen´s movie, it´s full of cheap jokes and sometimes you can even guess the story line.
