Greek Life at Allegheny

Показать описание
Greek life is a very important aspect of Allegheny for the approximately 30% of students who participate in it. The six fraternities and five sororities currently on campus enjoy a healthy balance between modern activities, such as Greek Week, and traditional ones, such as Run-Out Day. Philanthropy is crucial to Allegheny's Greek life: collectively, chapters complete over 7,000 hours of community service each year. In addition to this altruism, Allegheny Greeks also develop strong leadership abilities and time management skills, which translate fluidly into their lives outside their respective Greek organizations. Indeed, going Greek often inspires fraternity and sorority members to participate in other on-campus groups, in which many Greeks hold leadership positions.
