As a soft summer i find all i need is gray eyeliner and mascara no blush and a light pretty pink lipstick and I have never had so many compliments less is definitely more with soft summer

Thank you for this informative video. As a soft summer it took me years to learn that I don’t look good in heavy liner and dramatic lip colors. I’ve been using my shadow as liner for years and never understood why it looked better than liquid until now!

Another tip for soft summers that I have learned is for the holiday season. If you want to wear a more wine or plum lipstick for a Christmas or New Year’s Eve party, but don’t want to look over done (or look like a little girl who got into mommy’s makeup). Blend a more neutral rose or mauve color with the darker one. I will put one color on my top lip and the other color on my bottom lip and blend with a lip brush.

I’m definitely a soft summer: Mousey brown hair with a neutral complexion that leans toward pink. On the continuum I think I’m closer to soft autumn than other soft summers. But I’m definitely on the cooler side. Almost all oranges look horrible on me. I can only pull off a pinky coral. But, I tried the grey under-toned makeup and it didn’t work. I found it felt too True Summer for me. In the end I discovered that a dull brown does wonders on me. Maybe dull brown is what you mean by gray undertones and I’m just splitting hairs. But I pick all my colors looking for this undertone. So I use all the principles in this video with a slight adjustment in undertone. I avoid all brights and pure solids. Muted is the way to go. No bright jewelry. It totally works.

This is fantastic advice! It would explain why I never look right with perfectly lined black eyeliner. Smokey & smudged eye makeup looks best on me. And my best lipstick to date is Colourpop's Blotted Lip, because it gives off that diffused, wash of color that doesn't overpower my face. I wish I had understood the difference between true summer & soft summers when I was in my 20s. Would've saved me a lot of makeup faux pas. lol. Thank you for this invaluable information! I am a soft summer with a slightly darker skin (my skin is like a little darker than olive skin) and at first I thought I'd be a warm tone but my veins are blue and I suit more like soft muted out colours, also I cannot pull off gold jewellery haha so I think I suit cool tone more

Hi Vera, which eyebrow colour could you recommend? It needs be a cool and ashy tone I think. But I haven t found a perfect one, yet. I am from Germany and we don t have the brands you named in your list. But maybe you know the perfect colour from Benefit or Dior, or Mac or other Brands that are in common in many places. 😊 ☀️☀️☀️
