Thank you Bafta, this is incredibly helpful. Nice to know that directors working today still have some struggles with confidence, that makes the rest of us feel much better. We'll have to beat on, Thanks Lowery!

The number of directors who cite Star Wars as their original inspiration to become a filmmaker is staggering. Nolan, Abrams, Rian Johnson, and many more.

I just learned more in 5 minutes of David talking than I have with many other things I've listened to about directly. Love his humility and openness. Not to mention Pete's Dragon! :) Can't wait to see 'A Ghost Story' when it finally opens in Berlin.

He looks like Nicholas Hoult's older brother.

The size shouldn't scare you. Maintaining relationships with your crew. That's what matters.

Well, it might be some comfort to know that 'A Ghost Story' is the only film I have seen that I watched a second time immediately after the first viewing!

lol, I think I may have found my "spirit director". I like nothing better than a humble person.

I have what I think would make a wonderful movie. Would like to talk to you about it. Involves ghost. Wrecker drivers. Family. And the move over law for all first responders

He has a lack of confidence for good reason.
