Had a landlady who had a big driveway with space for four cars but when I moved in, she said I wouldn't have a space.
I told her that I didn't have a car anyways.
Cue the first big snowstorm of the season.
Landlady expected me to go out and help her son shovel the driveway out because her car was blocked in.
Yeah, that's a hard no, lady.

moral of the story: never tell someone to enforce the rules when you are breaking them.

I think this was my favourite ever. When you can teach Karen's a lesson that hurts them far more than they hurt you that is delightful. When you are the Karen and recognize that noone, not even HR is on your side that is a bonus.

Parking Fine Story: When the This exceeds $10, 000.00 do you want to proceed? warning popped up on the screen, OP should have hit no and then broken the Fines down into 4 batches of $9, 500.00 and 1 batch of $2, 950.00 in Fines...

That way, Karen would have to pay the ENTIRE $40, 950.00 in Fines...

Man, if only these entitled people had common sense, none of these bad things would happen to other normal people.

$10, 000 in fines, disappointment of loosing in the court and in the campus, loosing the chance of parking in the staff parking, the 🍒 on top making her drive at a peak traffic hour to her house which is on the other side of the city. Well played OP 👏👏👏👏👏

I worked for a company whose office was in a building partially taking half the first floor. The rest of the building had various offices with the usual daytime hours. The exception was our office which provided telephonic nursing assistance and occupied the entire 4th floor. The bank had a security officer, but since it was their building, they also supplied security for the entire building. Security had an agreement to provide escort to our vehicles as we left the building at 11pm. Most of the other nurses parked closer to the building but I always parked in the back half of the lot as I wanted the exercise. The first 5 rows weren’t marked for visitors, but we were advised to park further back until 5pm, although other nurses ignored that. The other staff kept asking me to park closer as we all to leave the lot at the same time. The guard usually escorted me to my car and I always conversed with him and he shared his goals and was also attending college. He got a promotion as an inside bank security and told me when his last day was and I wished him well. The first day that I knew he was no longer on duty, I parked closer to the building as the other staff requested. I was in the 5th row of a nearly empty lot as it was a city holiday and most regular office buildings had people either off or working a half day. I got to my bright red car and saw a large sticker obstructing my driver’s view that is similar to the type the city uses that can’t be peeled off. The guard had stood right outside the doors and I turned around and asked what it was for and he said it was parked to close to the building but had ignored all the other staff. His car was closer than mine and took up four spots. I pointed out the discrepancy and he smugly told me it was policy. He then told me that I had been there at noon, which was a lie and all the other staff knew it. I raised my voice and asked how I was supposed to drive the vehicle home and his response was to return to the locked building and disappeared. We didn’t have building keys. The other nurses were trying to find things in their vehicle to remove the sticker as well as bottles of water. It took us 45 minutes to remove enough that I could see to drive. I was mad and vocal about the fact that his job is to escort us but left us locked outside without his presence. Everyone knew me as easygoing and were surprised at my outburst. I was one of the team leaders who had been there a year and another team leader who had been there 8 years was working that night. I was off the next day, a Saturday, but worked Sunday. Word had gotten around the incident and I just shrugged. I parked in the back of the lot again ignoring the guard who was now at least 500 yards away from my car. My usual 3pm Monday shift and one the managers came and asked me about what happened. Apparently someone had brought it up and they all said the same thing as what I recounted. The CEO got involved since the incident had put the staff at risk as the lot was surrounded by woods and not visible to the streets and periodically the city police would sometimes take their breaks in our parking lot as there were previous incidents and thefts. The conclusion was the security guard was fired after the management also saw him take up 4 parking spots in the 3rd row to prevent his car from getting hit. He worked a 12 hour shift so had parked there from 12 noon. The new security guard relayed the whole story from that department as well as the other employees. Many people commented that they realized that I wasn’t a pushover when the guard tried to intimidate me. I told them that I had dealt with more powerful people than him and knew how to stand my ground and not be intimidated by a power hungry unarmed guard.

Being charged $70 in order to charge a mean boss $10, 000 is worth it

Imagine being a witch about a $70 fine, then finding $41, 000 in fines in your mailbox in a few days.

That would have been my first call. I'd call to clarify what the exact status of the drive way is. Is it to be shared or is it for the exclusive use of the rear tenant? Especially considering how annoy that BN was being. I wouldn't trust a single word coming out of her mouth.

Idk about other countries, but when it comes to disabled car parks we can get very protective of them. If you're going to be late, we honestly wouldnt care. Not disabled, not welcome. But I love the malicious compliance. You issue those tickets hahaha

Holy Hell! I LOVE IT! The college parking story reigns supreme among malicious compliance! (Actually reminds me of a story I should submit.)
Nothing as worthy as this one.
Bravo, OP! You’re my hero!
