Why would the writers have Rachel do this in the first place though? Broadway had been her No.1 dream from the very beginning and when she finally made it not only the lead but her dream role she would throw it all away for a stupid TV Show?!

Crazy how everything was changed last minute in Season 5 after Finn's death. It defintely took so much on Rachel feeling lost and going back to her OG ways she was in the first 2 seasons doing a lot of stupid things (her selfish diva attitude came back, dropping out of NYADA, and then the whole fiasco of her going to LA to audition for a shitty pilot on a day she's DOING a show in NYC, and then burned her bridges).

Rachel should have had the audition for that stupid TV show on a Monday (which is the official day when there's no performance on most Broadway).
