Geronimo is an icon of courage and resolve.  Who can appreciate the Apache more than the Irish who fought for their freedom for centuries?  Other headdresses other than Apache honor Crazy Horse.  It is possible to twist a compliment into an insult, but not honest.  Geronimo go deo.  Phalaistin go deo.  Eire go deo.

Outstanding and fun.  I think it's my favorite so far. 

If any nation understands oppression it is Ireland.  If they can take all the green beer, Lucky Charms, Leprechaun... garbage that is put out in our American media, surely an interpretation of a song being used to get Irish students psyched about their native language ( and thankfully shared for our enjoyment ) can be given a pass on our usual rush to be offended.  I'll just say "Go raibh maith agat!" and be on my way.

As someone who had a niece at this course and in this video I think it is particularly sad that people feel the need to troll over the fact that Native Indian clothing was used. People are too quick to jump onto their high horse to pass judgement over a something that was as joyous as this video. Yes obviously there are occasions where peoples interpretation of cultures oversteps the mark but this is not one of these times. Rather than dragging it down to a racist argument take it for it is and was. A celebration. Colaiste Lurgan abú!

This is a Gaeltacht so while some of you may find this offensive they only tried to make it fun and only use what they have !!! They went to an Irish college and sometimes they don't know what type of video they are filming so sometimes they don't have the materials to make it ' political perfect '

It was while watching this video that I searched out the original. I started paying attention to these guys when I saw a Bastille cover in Gaelic and have been searching out most of their videos (I don't like some of the songs they cover) whenever I need a pick me up.

I love the language and as a teacher, I love that they are translating the songs to learn the language and to keep it alive and relevant.
