Some readers may not know how much talent it takes to play a pedal steel guitar. There are 2 necks with 10 strings each. There are 8 foot pedals, 4 knee pedals, plus a foot operated volume pedal. Other configurations are possible, but i think the one I described is the most popular. At any rate, it is an instrument that, when properly played, produces absolutely beautiful music, such as this demonstrated in this video. I love the steel guitar!

I just love Pedal Steel. In fact it was this wonderful sweeping sound that first turned me on to country music in 1968.
