This is one of the worst dictators. In the 1960's, a Cambodian by the name of Pol Pot rose to be the leader of a communist party aptly named the Communist Party of Kampuchea. Pol Pot had a vision: to turn Cambodia into an agrarian utopia that could then turn into a communist country. In 1968 he launched a war against the US backed Cambodian government and by 1975 he controlled all of Cambodia. Which is here if you are wondering. Next he forced the entire urban population onto farmlands; anyone with an education was re-educated or killed. Over 1 million people who didn't comply would be killed then placed in mass graves in the fields that they worked on.
