Thanks Governor Huckabee you and your daughter have done this country a great service. The media is telling us that groceries have went up between 10 and 20%.. if you don't have a Kroger's or Walmart in your area, like some of my friends. They have to walk because automobile insurance is out of control. Especially elderly people. 1 gallon of milk ways approximately 8 lb. if there's not a Kroger or Walmart in the area they have to go to the dollar store. A gallon of milk in the dollar store is $5, you used to be able to get off brand soft drinks for 79 cents, now they're 205. The media's percentages are a bit off. Yesterday I was in a good neighbor and there was a guy with a rifle up in a tree. I asked him what he was doing. He said he's killing squirrels with this pellet rifle so he could eat. Would you believe this is United States. Some people won't ask for help, check on them.

The problem with being in the middle class is that while a single person may have the income to classify, ($30, 000-$90, 000 according the the PEW Research Center), they also have over-extended their spending potential over many years. So when he mentioned pumping gas into an SUV, he identified a lot of the problem. Inflation hits everyone, but a person's financial stability is not just how much their income is, it's how much debt they have. You can be middle class and drive an older sedan, have no credit card debt, a low mortgage payment, no school loan payments, and spend only what is necessary. They can ride out this inflation. It's the new cars, SUV gas hogs, big fancy trucks, designer clothes, expensive cell phones, etc. that will take more than they make every month. Some people have no floatation device when they see their boat is sinking.
