The stability of the drone when tethered like that is really impressive. Even if it couldn't lift the bottle, it wasn't bothered by it either.

I put a skin on mine, and it doubled the weight. The battery performance will likely be affected, but it looks nicer and is more visible in the daytime.

Great video but here's an idea for you. How about incrementally pouring water out of the bottle until the drone is able to lift it then marking how much water is left in the bottle at the drone's maximum payload ability. You can then weigh it at home to get an accurate measure of weight. Don't forget to include the weight of the string used to attach the weight to the drone. I'm sure the drone could have lifted more. 👍👍

My test showed, it can lift 8 to 10oz (227 to 283gm), depending on the battery (plus or standard).

1L of water = 1, 000 grams! It did not lift it, but sure wasn't too far off.
Maybe max lifting is 500g, or 600g? Ofc that would limit flight time markedly.

The drone is meant to fly and be used as an aerial camera.
Wondering how much it can lift means you must be bored.
They are designed for payload.
Use a Hercules aircraft if you want a payload.

Rule #1: If your going to do a lifting test---Use a scale or KNOWN weight. Otherwise its pointless.
