I would never ask my mum for a recipe. It would go something like "put in a bit of turmeric, coriander and paprika" "how much of each?" "tsk, not too much, you'll know when you add it" "no I won't, just tell me in teaspoons" "just enough for how much chicken you have" "but how much is that for 300g of chicken?" "just...argh! you don't know anything!"
