Crochet Feather and Fan blanket with Caron Cakes

This is just a quick short (which I try to say at the same time) video to show you the Feather and Fan blanket I made with Caron Cakes Mixed Berry. This is a great stitch that I will use again. The colorway plays out sooooo nicely. I watched Fiber Spider's tutorial where he is using a much more grown up looking color way so you can see how differently it can look with different yarn.

I love borders, it gives it a complete finished look...sort of like framing a beautiful portrait! This is a beautiful blanket, so it’s personal preference if you want a border or not....dealers choice! Beautiful work!

That yarn does look so pretty in the cake but I have yarns like that. I can’t find the right pattern, the right stitch. Eventually, it just goes into the ‘donate’ basket and I’m done stressing over it.

Oh the border, tricky as a straight one would spoil it, as someone else mentioned. It would have to follow the pattern. I think its it great as is, it's big enough too❣

I'm doings the "hugs and kisses" pattern from Mikey with that yarn. It's working up beautifully.

I think it looks great without a border but if you decide to add one, you can just do single crochet on the two sides instead of around the whole blanket. Can't wait to see what you've come up with for the Cinnamon Swirl cake.

Beautiful pattern. Love the colors. Borders are great; except for ripple, shells, etc., patterns. My personal preference is to leave these as they are to show off the pattern.

Blanket is pretty and cheerful good for any age I think Amy. The cinnamon swirl? umm.. it looks so good but if it doesn't work in reality, I find it soo disappointing. I can only think that small items like some of those small granny squares makde into a little girl's bag also some small drawstring gift bags? We might get some joy out of the Yarn then. Be good to see what you decide. Oh the basket u used do u have a tutorial for it? I've made some but they don't look like that one. Have a good week ❣
