I feel lucky to be alive while Adrianne Lenker is making music. Out of all the great writers around today, she's truly special. Someone people will still listen to with awe 100 years from now.

When the higher octave vocal harmonies come in, there's either some tape warble effect on Adrianne's vocals, or there are so many takes multi-tracked that it has crazy on-purpose phasing issues and she sounds like she's everywhere in my headphones. Just an astonishing production nuance to me. Thanks Big Thief, this is an amazing piece of music.

yet generations of fathers and their sons blame eve for the original sin.
the feminine is always blamed as deceitful, and the masculine as truthful.
