Sonic's Last Life (Part 2)

After a scary run-in with some truly messed-up doppelgangers, It turns out Sonic the Hedgehog is A-OK! Going against the recommendation of Tails, the Blue Blur heads out once more to do battle with his arch nemesis Dr Robotnik. But, what seems like a regular Sonic adventure at first, soon turns into something much darker.

Sonic boom, Sonic splat, Sonic thud: these are just some of the noises this hedgehog makes right before he goes to the big Green Hill Zone in the sky. And that’s all he’s thinking about, these days. Nothing can take his mind off his fear. Sonic racing with Shadow the Hedgehog, training with Knuckles, a date with Amy Rose, fishing with Big the Cat: Sonic’s mind is only on one thing.

Tails is trying to be nice to Sonic by getting rid of what's troubling him. But is also being consciously and regretfully neglectful of Sonics real feelings. It actually sounds like a believable twisted Tails plotline that doesn't slander, ruin or come to the detriment of his character. Whoever wrote this literally corrected 95% of every evil Tails story that has ever been written.

That little twist in the end, what if Sonic does not actually have an extra life.. all of his deaths are basically his deja Vu before he straight up gets resetted

Man, I love Sonic's voice actor. His range from severely traumatized Sonic to "all is a-okay" Sonic really is top-notch! I'm really curious to see the different directions they take with him

Oh my plot twists, this is PHENOMENALLY AMAZING. The story and everything was well done! And quite few changes such as Tails not being a psychopath anymore.

I'm actually looking forward to this series, it just hits me harder than the other ones youve made

At 3:43 seconds, the flash of a possible death is genuinely horrifying, and if the animator(s) went with that to capture how Sonic feels about learning about his deaths, it such a brilliant move to pull. Bravo

You know what sucks about this for first dead Sonic, he could’ve warned him about tails erasing his memories, this was the one and only time he had that chance, but he didn’t think Sonic 99 could actually make it back, sad stuff man

This is a GREAT representation of what PTSD is like, flashbacks, chronic nightmares, hallucinations, anxiety, it's all there! As someone who has lived and witness PTSD before, it's scary how accurate it is! But y'all nailed it! I really hope y'all do more!

Considering the amount of parodies/fan theories about Tails being immortal after dying so many times in the Classic games, it's kinda brilliant to make him the one who understands the burden Sonic was facing.

This was so good and such a giant nostalgia hit for all us Sonic fans. The voice acting, remixed music, dark theme of these episodes are hitting all the right checkmarks. With growing older, a lot of us wonder whatever happens to our favorite characters throughout the passage of time, whether it can be realized in the original source or through an excellent fan interpretation like these episodes.

I either hope it continues for a bit longer and if not, I'm glad that it happened. This was great, thank you mashed!
