With acrylic you'd probably want to use Weld On. He kept saying "chaulk" - be sure to use a silicone that says "aquarium safe, " NOT chaulk!!!

For those worried about silicone not bonding to glass(which is true), It's not really a big deal for internal baffles that dont see a lot of pressure differential and dont have to be 100% water tight in most cases. Now days I build my sumps with removable baffles by making vertical tracks for the acrylic baffles to slide in and out of. That way I can tear down any compartment or the entire thing if need be. I can also create a different baffle design and just replace an old one.

Silicone and acrylic don't adhere. It's a tough adherence!

I had an Sump, but over time only one compartment is left… and this is also unnecessary…
Water flows into an fleece-filter, Mediareactors, skimmer and ends at the returnpumps in last compartment, all in one direction. Consider that you dont need an sump, like some of jake adams(rip) tanks. Skimmer some flowpumps, kalkreactor and kalkwasser and done.

Make sure you're not using caulk like this goof was saying. Make sure its aquarium safe 100% SILICONE.
