This chanel is a heaven sent. It makes having this challenge both tolerable and alright. Such a welcomed breath of fresh air. No more hiding. Now, we can March out of the darkness and allow the light to come in. Now the sun can kiss our faces with relief, acceptance and a greater quality of our very existence.

Hi, I have OCD, I'm 52. I work with a top OCD specialist doing erp. A lot of info out there seems, well let's just say questionable. However a lot of what you say on your channel is very impressive and insightful and very spot on with your education. Glad your helping others.

I've learned that the "oh no I must do something NOW" panic is not a solution, but rather an indication of anxiety itself. It's definitely not always easy to separate anxiety from real concerns, but it's helpful when I remember that dread is a symptom of anxiety, not a sign that I must do one thing or another.

I wish I could let the feeling of dread and impending doom pass. It never passes though. I've had it on and off since childhood, and constantly for over 7 years. It never goes away, except when I'm asleep. 😢

It's not always easy, but try shifting that energy towards "behavioral activation"

can you do a video on trauma and how it could trigger the onset of derealization? i experienced a traumatic event and thought i was dying and it basically felt like really intense derealization and so when i dissociate now, where i’m safe, the sensations feel similar. it’s completely debilitating. i will be useless for months at a time until enough time has passed since the “panic attack” and i slowly focus on other things. but the fear never leaves. it’s been 12 years since the trauma. however i recall having feelings of derealization before the trauma as well. but never feared the loss of control.

This short reminds me of a quote from Disco Elysium. Don't remember the exact words but "that's how feelings are. They come and they go. Especially the little ones."
