GhostBed Flex Mattress Review
Показать описание
Finding the right mattress can certainly be a challenge. With so many great products out there at the click of a mouse, narrowing it down to just one can seem impossible. That’s why we test these products out and give you the details you usually won’t get at a retail store.
If you’re a hot sleeper who sleeps on your back or side and would like memory foam if it didn’t cause a heat wave, this video’s for you. The GhostBed Flex takes measures to address each and every one of these points with a clever layer lineup that includes memory foam, polyfoam and innersprings.
How GhostBed Flex Cooling Works
How can a mattress with two layers of memory foam in the comfort zone keep you sleeping cool? Most of us associate memory foam with hot sleeping, and this is because traditional memory foam absorbed heat. If you bought one of the first memory foam mattresses back in the 90’s or early 2000’s, you know what I’m talking about!
Fortunately, times have changed, and there are numerous ways in which you can keep a memory foam mattress sleeping cool. In the case of the GhostBed Flex, there are four primary methods in place:
The advanced technology in the cooling cover gets us off to a great start, and, even when the room is warm, you’ll notice the mattress surface is cool to the touch.
The Cooling Fiber promotes airflow near the mattress surface.
The gel-infused memory foam works to absorb body heat and promote a cool night’s sleep.
Most of the mattress is composed of the innerspring unit, and they naturally promote good airflow.
In this video, we’ll walk you through the testing we did to see how these measures worked to keep this mattress sleeping around 20% cooler than others we’ve tried out with our thermal imaging technology.
Suitable Firmness & Contour for Back and Side Sleepers
If you’re a back or side sleeper, the GhostBed Flex is well suited for you in terms of firmness and contour. Although it is a little firmer than a standard medium mattress, it still works well when stacking your weight on your side due to the layers of memory foam in the comfort zone. GhostBed rates this mattress as a 5.5-6.5 on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being super plush and ten being incredibly firm.
In our review, we took a look at firmness and contour with our proprietary firmness and contour testing tool. Based on our observations, we recommend this mattress for men with triangle, rhomboid, or inverted triangle body shapes and pear and apple-shaped women.
