I glued all my animals down, shaded them with my Stabilo All Pencil and used the Snarky Cats snarky coments as my sentiments!

You always go for all the details. Beautiful backgrounds and look at ALL the colorful dogs, cats and birds. I love those crazy birds and the snarky cats make me laugh.

Hello Julia! Thanks for another inspiring mini art journal video. I also have this journal die set and originally cut a bunch of pages to do a mini-journal with Tim Holtz Crazy, Birds, Cats, & Dogs although my animals will be playing in bright splashes of color instead of treading in the dark side. LOL I ended up using several pages to play around with a variety of color combinations using PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paints practicing the Brayer technique. I haven’t decided yet whether to keep going with it as a reference resource or to embellish the pages into a journal. I’ve enjoyed the process so much that I want to do more pages regardless of what I end up doing with it. I don’t have the Snarky Cats but some of those quotes are fabulous! And… Boo… years ago I saw a miniature chocolate poodle puppy at our Vet’s office and instantly fell in love. I can recall the moment like it was yesterday. I haven’t had any pets for a number of years now for a few reasons but I know the only way I would have a pet again is if a chocolate poodle pup showed up! LOL back to art… I do enjoy a variety of techniques, color tones, and styles. I thought Dina Wakely’s new 6x6 Kraft Journal would be a perfect steampunk/grunge/Tim Holtz journal but I’m not letting myself start another journal until I finish the 5x8 Dylusions journal that I still have 6 layouts to finish (2 of which are in process). I took a break from art journaling to create a bunch of greeting cards for my Mom to have on hand as well as a few for me as well. There are just so many options and ways to be creative! I’ll look forward to seeing part 2 of your mini journal and seeing what those crazy animals are up to! Have a great week! 🙂
