Exactly! I mistakenly thought I had to choose between outdoorsy and indoorsy and worked two seasons with the forest service and enjoyed it but low-key dreaded it as a potential career. Then I realized I need to be outside but not anywhere too cold or too wet or too steep or too hot and I need to always have food, water, and ideally a bathroom and I don't want to carry anything too heavy for long distances and... so long story short, I work at a nursery.

I am absolutely insidey. I took time off for the holidays. I literally (and I mean literally) did not step foot out of the house for 8 days. It was glorious. Made the kids check the mailbox and the hubby got groceries. Truly the best vacation.

I like the outsidesey nuance! Because I've never been outdoorsy but I've gone through periods where half my day was spent out walking around town or reading outdoors. But moreso indoorsy now, with occasional bouts of insideseyness. This is such a useful nomenclature 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I cycle between outsidey, indoorsy, and insidey depending on several factors. Most of the time I'd say I'm indoorsy. "What a beautiful day to stay inside. ❤"

Okay but can we talk about how outsidey is the best one? You get to be outside in the crisp cool air, feel the sunshine on your face, drink your coffee, and have the warmth of indoors available within reach

I'm somewhere between outdoorsy and outsidey. I spend as much time as possible outside, but I don't go on grand nature adventures. I like hiking, but 2-4 hours is max for me. Most of my time outside is on our little family farm that we're starting from scratch. Eventually, I want to carve out a mile long trail through our woods.

As I’ve gone from childhood to 40 (& disabled & chronic illness so cold is just evil now) my scale has slid from 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 over the past few decades

Definitely indoors. I turned my back porch into a greenhouse so I could have warm temps and green plants.

Yes! I always describe myself as a front yard kind of person, although I do end up being rather insidy as well. I LOVE opening the windows on pleasant days. My husband flits between insidey and indoorsy. Though gardens in late spring/early summer are good for him.
