100% WEIGHT FORWARD? ➡️ The Wrench Drill ➡️

Показать описание
The biggest deficiency of skill in every regular golfer is they inability to control the low-point of the swing. That means they cannot hit the ground in the same place every time they swing, and seldom do they EVER hit the ground far enough forward to promote the optimal ball, then ground, contact.

The number 1 reason that golfers are so deficient in this skill is because they never have their weight far enough forward - towards the target - at any point during their set-up or their swing.

Conversely, the best ball strikers ALL have their weight forward at set-up and then have it further forward at impact, and further forward still in the finish. ➡️➡️➡️

In this video, I explore the reasons why most golfers never fully grasp this skill, and it’s got a lot to do with poor instruction. I’ll also discuss how YOU need to be more open to the idea of making BIGGER changes to elicit a far greater shift in terms of a swing change. You’re not making this change because:

1. You’re not told to.
2. You’re not exaggerating the feeling enough.

Staying comfortable is a sure fire way to guarantee zero change and mediocre performance! Be brave... and try 100% WEIGHT FORWARD next time you practice or play.

When I took up golf in my 40s I read lots of conventional instruction books that all emphasized starting with more weight on the trail side. I struggled with an OTT swing and lots of shanking short irons. One day I tried keeping all my weight forward. Immediately I struck the ball solidly and without shanking. I couldn't believe it. This contradicted all I had read about the golf swing. Surely good players didn't play that way. I continued the way I had been playing and it's only recently that I've allowed myself to set up with more weight on the forward side. Wish I'd had the courage of my convictions many years ago.

This ABSOLUTELY works. It took me about a month the dial in. Now I’m 70 years old shooting 80. Yippie!

Hi Rob, Ive only been playing for 7yrs, I'm 79yrs old now, but still quite fit and agile. It's been a somewhat frustrating 7 yrs with of course inconsistencies. You're the first instructor to mention 100% weight fwd with an iron, and I'm so pleased how well I have improved. Along with your other videos. Thanks very much for you clear, precise and method of instruction. I would love to have some instructions with you, but I live in Bali, indonesia. If you ever decided to take a holiday here you'd be welcome with open arms. If you decided to give some lessons I'd be top of the list.😅
Paul.

You are probably the best online Coach, Rob! Your explanation on stance, ball position & that million dollar tip to keep the weight forward (tilt) can make such a difference 🎉Thank you

Weight forward makes golf fun. Compression, de-lofting, and spin- all achieved by the weight forward. You are the best golf coach on earth. 🌏

I love your point about keeping your weight forward and using your front leg as a pivot that everything revolves around.

Hi Rob. My name is John from Ireland. I am a 28 handicapper. I have tried everything to improve and it wasnt until I started watching yourself and Nick Taylor and other stack and tilt teachers that I started to improve. I find the weight forward idea has been my biggest help. Thank you

Hi Rob. I can’t express how much you and your friend Nick Taylor have improved my ball striking over the past year and a half. I am almost 82 years of age and played high school golf and college golf and played golf at a pretty high level in my younger days. However, since I discovered you and Nick I am striking the ball better (obviously not further) than I EVER have. I shoot my age or better nearly every time out and as low as 73. I can’t thank you guys enough. Stack and Tilt is far and away the best teaching system to learn. I have referred many friends to your videos and every one of them has thanked me for doing so. Keep the great videos coming!

Rob, you have resurrected my game. I had given up on golf at age 69. A scratch player in my 30's, I hung up the sticks at age 55. At 65 I tried most YouTube videos and got confused. Things started making sense to me when I started following the stack and tilt system. I would work on one technique for two months before starting a new video. I have shot my age, 70 many times and hit the ball further than my 50 year old playing partners, and this is with 15 year old clubs. I see no point in buying new clubs when I am driving the ball 270 yards plus at my age. A friend of mine bought a new high tech driver last month for $500 and I asked him if he still had the receipt so he could take it back. I out drive him by 40 yards. Thank you and keep those drills coming.

Amazing drill, been playing golf for 2 years with a bad slice. Played my first round this week after practicing this drill. Not one slice in 18 holes

I’m impressed! Saw this yesterday and took it to the course today. On a 7 handicap (and have a bit of trouble playing to it), 16 pars and two boggies today and my ball striking has never been better. Accuracy also improved dramatically. Off the tee was also remarkably better and definitely longer. Thanks heaps - hopefully this will continue.

This lesson and the shoulder down transformed my golf game. Thanks Rob I am never watching another golf vid again. Unless it stack and tilt.

Rob...I am 88 years old and I still play golf. In my younger years I was able to play pretty good golf with a standard swing. I was gifted with some athletic genes because my father was a pro baseball player. After watching your wrench swing technique I have been able to recapture some of my former skill. Your method might help senior golfers even more than average golfers. Now I am handicapped with bad arthritic joints and I can't make that lateral move anymore. The wrench swing is simpler and easier on my body. I thank you. Oh and by the way you might want to emphasis starting the wrench swing with a left hip bump at address. That's what helped me the most.

Thanks for these videos. A breath of fresh air regarding the 100% weight forward and hit hard stop quick are really helping. Keep it up as these thoughts are new and they work.

This is great information and a key part of putting the S&T puzzle together into formulating an understanding of continual solid ball striking. Great presentation! Thank you.

These videos are fantastic, I am 49 and in the last couple years developed a few bad habits that hindered my ball striking that became very frustrating. I have watched all the videos and took your drills and techniques to the range. In the last month my ball striking and golf game is fun and enjoyable again. Thx Rob

Hi Rob … really glad I’ve found your channel. I’ve played for over 50 years and been down on single figures but your weight forward advice is the one nugget in a lifetime of tuition that really makes such a difference as you articulate so much. Nothing else has ever improved my game so much … I just need to avoid dipping down on the backswing with it . Thanks so much again….. Alan from Manchester, England

I started golf later in life, and could hit the ball miles as my background was martial arts, squash and badminton. I was told about the reverse pivot and told to keep my lower half still to improve my x factor.... its taken me nearly 10 years now to unlearn that. Found you during lockdown when I only had my back garden and my golf clubs, so could work on my swing. Great teaching. Logical and deals with the industry BS that's killed the amateur game
