They actually DO recruit from likely students at posh universities. Spies are often business people who travel to certain countries and they recruit them early.

They do actually recruit from the UK’s top Universities! Funny stuff guys. 😂

Weirdly, one person who was checked out for MI6 was Hugh Dennis, who has starred in comedy shows such as Mock the Week, Outnumbered, My Hero, and is currently still in Lee Mack's sitcom, Not Going Out.

Just for clarification on the last part from Lee ---- MFI was a furniture store that was quite prolific in Britain for many years.

Yeah, this is before it went to an 8pm slot.

So good to see Dame Maureen Lipman, one of the greatest comedic actresses of our time.

But yeah, someone as obvious as Jimmy could never blend in enough to be a spy 😅

The real question here is, how did MI5 miss out on the opportunity to recruit Jimmy Carr?

it's believed Uk government did recruit students, they did this to get them to join fringe clubs (socialist/animal rights) they believed posed a risk of protesting, all they had to do was attend meetings and write a document on what was discussed and any plans to do anything.

Angus got sacked by the BBC which Stephen Fry disagreed with the decision so ever since he’s refused to go on any show that was hosted by Angus on the BBC. So you won’t see Stephen on WILTY, also won’t see him on any post Angus episode of HIGNFY. There’s probably a few other shows he refuses to go on because of it.

So weird seeing swearing on WILTY, before they went bigtime.

Hey fellas 👍more older ones would be great if you like, all the one with Rob Brydon as host have been reacted to death now by everyone now, the guy that used to host it was Angus Deayton that has a very sarcastic dry wit, not for everyone but I think he was funny. Great stuff✌️🍻

I have no problem with swearing on comedy shows but I don't think WILTY lost *anything* when they became slightly more "family orientated". In order, presumably, to get an earlier timeslot and a larger audience. Although we would have missed out on that particular gem from Jimmy, I suppose.
