it still says "Insert sim". The sim card case wont fully press down so i dont know if my sim cards too fat but its nano? I don't know why it isnt working.

inserting SD card has messed mine up. Camera stopped working in apps like whatsapp and then I reinstalled Whatsapp thinking it might cure the issue. now it just crashes constantly

installing the SIM card can be tricky. The retainer is rather flimsy device. So gently push to slide it down a hair, then lift on the top. It will swing downward. Then align your card and swing the retainer down over the card.
Your SIM card may slip a little so keep it in place. Then push the retainer up a tad. If you get it right the retainer will not bob open.
To double check I turned the phone over and gave it a little jiggle the SIM card stayed in place.

In all this time no one seems to have bothered to cover this fragile aspect of inserting your card. Once it is properly secured your software setup will go smoothly.
