My Dad was 85 and I was 30 when I got married... he had dementia and we weren't sure how "with it" he would be. So we danced to his favorite song: Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller. No matter how out of it he was, if we put on Glenn Miller he would come back to reality. He died less than 2 years later, I still listen to that song sometimes and remember that wonderful day

My dad passed away shortly before my 1 year anniversary. It’s been almost 10 years and when that song comes on the radio I still have to pull my car over so I don’t crash because I am sobbing so hard. I love the song and I miss my dad. It was the perfect song for us to dance to. ❤️

i agree with most of this list! however, Tim McGraw's My Little Girl should have been in the top 3!!! that was going to be the song i wanted to dance with my dad to at my wedding, but since he is no longer with us, i will still have it and dance to it with the other most important men in my life!!!

In exactly 1 month and 8 days from today (6/5/2019), on 7/13/2019, I'll be dancing to "My Little Girl" with my dad on my wedding day. I had it narrowed down to "Stealing Cinderella" (Chuck Wicks), "Ready Set Don't Go" (Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus), and "My Little Girl" (Tim McGraw). "My Little Girl" fits me and my dad more than the other two do.

When I finally get married, I want my dance with my dad to be “I loved her first”. At this point it makes me BAWL and I know it wouldn’t be any different that day. I’m just hoping that I get married before anything happens to my dad (he’s already 67 ) and I hope we will be able to dance, because with his arthritis, and the fact there is 5 pounds of brass in his knee, I don’t know if he will be able to.
