most bluetooth speakers use some kind of a DSP(digital signal processoer) system in order to prevent distortion at hige levels
that creates a hugh difference dynamic wise between different vol levels.

every speaker has its own sweet spot which from my tests of different speakers is ususally between 60-80% vol level.

that somtimes heavy processing creates a reduction of bass and an increase in mids and highs to prevent distortion, and comes out as
very compressed sounding.

this video demonstrates this effect
best advice is to find that sweet spot and not go up to eleven !!!

I just bought a Soundlink mini 2. It is not very loud, but the bass is amazing for a speaker of it's size. If you don't need very loud speaker go for the Bose, you will not be disappointed!

Two A1s set up as a stereo pair is an awesome portable set-up. People keep looking around to see where all that sound is coming from.

I run 2 soundlink minis at once in my room and it fills the room with some real nice sound

The SL Mini is as loud at 100% volume as the A1 is at 60% 😂😂

The Bose has better bass. But the b&o overall sounds bettet.

You can't really compare these from watching a video. You would have to listen to these in person. The bose soundlink mini ii is like a $165 vs the B&O Beoplay A1 which is like $227.

A tipp for the B&O: It sounds a lot more when you hang it with the bothem on your Wall

B&O vs Bose....not even close. Any B&O product would win and this test proves it in this case certainly.

You can hear the a1 throttle bass as higher volume, I wonder if that can be improved with the app? Have you tested that at all? Nice comparison by the way, really shows how the a1 is a better performer than Bose in this size category

I have been using the A1 for over two month now and wow they are so great, its amazing how a small box can perform so good sound. But i have to ask you something, do you think the A1 can outperform a computer speaker like "Audioengine A2+" ? i really need to know because i need a computer speaker with left and right stereo.
