The Climb | Official Trailer | Max

The Climb is a visually-arresting and life-changing adventure that represents the foundations of rock climbing and exploration of the human spirit. In this all-encompassing competition, amateur climbers are put through a rigorous series of mental and physical challenges, utilizing some of the most intimidating ascents in the world to crown the world’s best amateur climber with a prAna sponsored climbing career and a $100,000 cash prize. The series is created by Jason Momoa, through his production company On the Roam, legendary rock climber Chris Sharma, and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures Television.

The Climb premieres Thursday January 12 on Max. @StreamOnMax

NEXT SEASON: Please don't base the events on who was last and simply put them in sudden death to be eliminated. Instead I think each discipline should be worth a certain number of points and after a certain number of events there is an elimination round. If it's tied at the end of the rounds then it will be determined by another event. But I was very disappointed that some of the best climbers were sent home after one bad day.

This looks really cool, I may give it a whirl, just a bit worried that it will have constant injected "manufactured" drama that most reality TV has where the producers seem to think the story of the show and the beauty of the environment isn't enough so they need to pressure contestants into over the top reactions for trivial things.
