The amazing grass snake

We were sailing on the salt water river alde and saw a grass snake setting off from the river bank to cross the river. The water was very calm, the weather arm the distance to the other side of the river was at least 50 meters !!

they do have ears but due to them being covered sounds to them are like us holding our hands over our ears

Don’t ALL snakes know how to swim like that instinctively? Sure seems like EVERY snake can swim here in America at least…I once even seen a rattlesnake purposefully in a lake and swim away just like that before
