If you want to half a number it is realy simple just take all the numbers from left to right and if it is odd you subtract one and the after doing the next equasion you add five to the number.

27409 = 2 halved is 1 then 7 is odd so 6 halved is 3 then 4 haved is 2 plus 5 cuz of the 7 befor is 7 and then 0 halved is 0 and 9 haved is 8 halved so 4 and then you would have to add a decimal place and a 5 since the last diget is odd. 13704.5
