I HAVE A TIP FOR FREDDY! My boyfriend and I didn't turn on our heat hardly at all this winter. And we live in Minnesota. Partly it's due to living in an apartment building where all the other units were being heated, but a lot of heat was actually generated from our 3D Printer. We got it last year and we use it to print knick knacks that we sell at a local novelty shop. So, we both didn't pay for heat AND made extra money in the process.
(Also, baking sweets in the oven is a great way to get a little more heat into the apartment.)
