Is the Wilson EVO NXT better than the Evolution?

The brightest basketball on the market, intended to be the next version of the Evolution has now become the official ball of the NCAA tournament. Is the Wilson EVO Nxt really an upgrade or a completely different basketball?

I bought the ball a couple a months ago and everybody thought it was a playground ball because of the color. And I said "Ya'll not ready for this ball but you will be playing with this ball next year. They are starting to play with it now because the NCAA is playing with it.

i play with this at the gym and everyone uses the Evolution and The Rock. It’s definitely better. Way grippier than Evolution, esp when hands are wet. It is pretty similar to The Rock but feels lighter and probably a little grippier (tackier is probably best way of putting it).

Great review as always. Can’t believe they got rid of the solution though. I’d be surprised if this ball has the same moisture control that the solution had.

I'd say yes but it's really rare at my gym due to being more expensive than the original evolution. I assume no one wants it to get stolen.

Thanks for the review. I purchased this NCAA NXT. I ordered it thorough Wilson and got my name stamped on it. It's a nice ball. Is there any video evidence of you going 7 for 7 from the three point line? 🙂

It’s too light weight for me that why I’m sticking with evolution . It’s been times on fast breaks I had to be careful not to smoke a layup it seems bouncy and light weight

What PSI do you keep it at or suggest? I’ve seen alot of high school teams over inflating the Evo, making it super bouncy off the rim.

Is the Wilson NCAA Evo NXT Replica basketball a good basketball for indoor/outdoor play? And also what are a few good indoor/outdoor basketballs beside the Wilson NCAA replica game ball. I can't find that thing in a damn store for stock.

do you happen to know if the uk version of evo nxt (fiba approved) size 7 is the same size as US size 7 29.5 inch? this is the model number of the ball (WTB0965XB) and i just purcahsed off amazon, one of the comment got me worried but isn't size 7 universal?
