It has been my dream to see this colossal ape alive and in the flesh they may be extinct now but that won't stop me from fulfilling my dream because I plan on building a time machine to save gigantopithecus I'm sure we can find a suitable habitat for them in the present day

Yeah, we call them Yowies. Giantapithicus is a bit of a mouthful when trying to give a detail report on what just scared you shitless and your brains so scrambled you have issues remembering your own single syllable name. So, obviously, not extinct in the slightest, at least around here. But, really, would you expect anything less from Australia.
