I'm glad that Karen asked "How do we know our value? How do we assess that?" after Ms. Avant told the story about her dad feeling his value because the white man's family sent him a car to go to the funeral. *Our value and self-worth can only originate from within ourselves.* The minute you start seeking validation, a compliment, etc. is the minute you have lost because then it hinges on someone else GIVING it to you. If it can be given, it can be taken away. It's important to have a support (emotionally, financially, mentally), but you have to know who you are first.

I loved the Black Godfather, I cried, I laughed, I was memorized by his intellect, his unassuming character, strong, silent, fierce, unstoppable, gangster, knew how to play on any field and still being who he was. He is one of many who inspire and gives me so much pride and so proud of this Black Man..."THE BLACK AWESOME

Loved the Obama appointed Ambassador of Jamaica in " The walking Dead " with Wendy Raquel Robinson, Eddie Griffin, Joe Morton and many other actors.

This woman is just spoiled. If it wasn't for her daddy's deep connections, she would not be a ambassador in the Bahamas.

This sister is a good person and daughter... I just hate she married a white man. You can’t complain about the problem and lay down with your oppressor.... the group of people responsible for 99.9% of all your problems. The last 1% is your skin color in which no one has any control over.

This system of white supremacy/ racism is still in place. It’s only been refined.
Good luck to her but absolutely there is no way I would lay down with them.

Civilization was a huge mistake if we can’t respect and love all of humanity.

Also, her white husband is a big time executive at Netflix ... so she’s not being honest ... he helped her get it started.

Also her father without racism could have been as big as Clive Davis.

I did enjoy the movie and I applaud Mr. Clarence Avant for truly loving his people.

Is anyone going to mention that her husband is the Co-CEO of Netflix as a reason why this film got made? Or do we think that it is not relevant?
