“So what’s your sob story?”
“Going on the voice”

Thank God you didn't quit Audra. Your music has meant a lot to me. Hollywood can be cruel.

Audra is beyond talented, the Voice isn't worthy 🙌

Wow. You should have won. Better than a lot of people I've heard on there. The new songs have been fire! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say The Voice's loss was our gain and I'm glad you didn't give up. You add a lot of beauty to our lives!

I really enjoyed watching this video before The Voice sends you angry emails and letters and gets this vid taken down 😂

The fact that you have a well adjusted life and a family that loves you shouldn't be the reason you get sent home. It's literally called "The Voice". I will never watch that show again. Happy birthday to your channel, Audra!🎁

Audra, I am so sorry that they treated you like that. For what it's worth, in my opinion you are the best and most amazing singer I have ever heard!!!
I am so glad that you didn't let your experience on The Voice stop you from singing!

The producers should have picked you, but it's THEIR LOSS, not yours.

Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with not having a sob story. As someone who does have a sob story, I wish I didn't. Not having a sob story is a blessing.

It is really good that you have a happy life. Not having a sob story shouldn't make you feel inadequate or anything like that. I am really glad that you have a happy and fulfilling life!!!

You are super awesome and amazing just the way you are!!!

I am glad that you didn't let the producers manipulate you into portraying yourself the way they wanted, rather than who you really are.

I hope you will always remain authentic and genuine, and never let anyone try to pressure you into changing.

You are very inspiring and awesome, and your singing and your YouTube videos like this one really encourages me and makes a big difference in my life!!! I hope you will always keep singing for as long as you enjoy it!

You have tons of devoted fans who love you and support you!!! I hope your finger is healing really well!!! God bless you!!!

You were too real for reality television. I’d wear that with pride.

TBH Hollywood and “old media” is shaken and afraid of independent talented creators like yourself who can self-publish on YouTube and other social media where people increasingly spend their time and where you find your true fans. They need you more than you need them

So glad you didn't stopped Audra... sad reality on how TV really works... I've been listening to F211 since my 16s (I am 23 now) and you are always on the top of my playlists.

It's terrible to think Hollywood almost destroyed my favorite band

Great post Audra, glad you kept singing we love First to Eleven & Concrete Castles. It's good to hear what we thought went on is actually what goes on and to vindicate to ourselves why we have rejected invitations for our son and will continue to do so. He'll do what you've done, get with musical friends and create the music you want without the staging of TV. Awesome 💛🙌

Nothing Breaks Like A Heart when the producers change 16 year old Audras audition song 5 minutes before the audition, LITERALLY!!!

P.S. So glad you didn't quit! We wouldn't have the fantastic Audra and F211 we have today!

Sorry you had such a devastating experience on "The Voice", Audra, and I don't blame you for refusing to audition again. Something tells me that the producers wouldn't want to hear a summary of this video as your "sob story"...

I for one am thrilled this all went the way it did, cause had you been on The Voice I would've felt very obligated to watch it & support you, but I would've hated it too cause I just loathe all those "competition reality shows" & would've not wanted to give them the ratings. . . I also feel like they would've ruined you a bit, tried to change your sound, make you sing crap you aren't passionate about. . Congrats on absolutely making the right choice with the path you've taken!! ☺️

You just summarized why I don't give a crap about reality TV aside from maybe the celebrity stuff. There is no reality in reality TV. Over the years, many people tried to convince me to do whatever show was popular for singing, and I always had zero interest. At 46, that time is past me, but I do not regret never auditioning for any of these shows, because I know the kind of crap that goes on (Having studied music business in college), and that I am not the kind of person that would have a good experience with it. I have a great voice, and am a more than competent instrumentalist as well, but I am built like a football offensive lineman. I wouldn't even waste my time trying. You on the other hand, are a Gem, and I am glad to have gotten to hear you sing! They missed an opportunity with you. Keep being awesome!

It's great to know the experience you had with the voice, Audra ✨

From what I’ve read of other’s experiences with reality shows, I think you’re better off without them. Your First 2 Eleven fans know you and help spread the word of First 2 Eleven’s awesomeness.

Happy YouTube channel anniversary, Audra! Also, it's probably for the best that you didn't get on The Voice. But, you're definitely more talented than some of the individuals who do make it on that show. Between First To Eleven, Concrete Castles, your own channel, you've made a name for yourself.
